Equine Star of Seabiscuit Film Passes - TheHorse.com

Equine Star of Seabiscuit Film Passes - TheHorse.com: "John Nicholson, executive director of the Kentucky Horse Park noted, 'This is a sad day for all of us at the park. This horse was not only very popular with our visitors, but was greatly loved by everyone who worked with him. I Two Step Two was a kind, gentle animal who gladly received thousands of visitors and never lost his patience.' He continued, 'The only good thing about this is that we will continue to see him every time the movie is shown"

Horse Book Review: Conquerors by Dr. Deb Bennett

Horse Book Review: Conquerors by Dr. Deb Bennett: "BOOK REVIEW
by Phillip Sponenberg, DVM, PhD,
Veterinary College of Virginia Tech
Conquerors - by Dr. Deb Bennett
'Deb Bennett has succeeded in putting together a book that brings together a host of loose ends in horse lore, history, and horsemanship. The result is nothing short of miraculous. I was enthralled from the first page to the last, and dropped everything else when I began reading the book - I simply could not put it down! The information is exhaustive, and is presented in a very enjoyable format. I found much new, much very stimulating, and much thought-provoking in the information that Dr. Deb so admirably presents."

To take advantage of Dr. Deb's knowledge, send in your registration application today for the November 19-20, 2005, 2-day Horsemanship Clinic with Dr. Deb Bennett. Visit http://www.azgaitedhorses.com/csppc/DebBennettAd.htm for more information.

Tack for Iraq - the Iraqi National Herd

...Of the original Herd of 100+ Horses in the Iraqi National Herd of Arabian Horses, only 19 remain, the rest having been killed during the bombing of Baghdad when their Facility was struck by a Tomahawk cruise missile. Along with the Horses, the National Herd also lost every piece of equipment and tack necessary to care for these Horses properly. They still have no equipment, as the Human and Infrastructural needs of the Country at this juncture outweigh the needs of the Horses and their caretakers. Yet, regards the Human Need, literally every Humanitarian organization in the Free World is there to help and are doing so and the Human infrastructure is being re-built.
